SURPRISE! I'm back on the blog!!!!! I've been working on a lot of writing projects lately to keep me from going insane and wallowing in depression at work, so I thought I might as well share some with all of you.

Surprise! I'm back!

Hey followers! It's been awhile. I have been getting busy with my many other projects (see: #obsessed! podcast and Daddy Long Legs: The Musical), and have been feeling a sort of Social-Media-fatigue (see: my Facebook page, particularly the now-infamous "Pirates Ride Saga of 2017") that has made sharing my feelings and opinions in any venue, even a safe, comment-free one like this blog, difficult.

But inspiration suddenly hit me a few days ago while at work...and (everyone's shocked), it resulted in a semi-poetic essay (albeit a short one...

I often have a hard time articulating to people why even "compliments" on my appearance, especially those pertaining to weight (ie- "have you lost weight? you look so skinny! you look great!) make me feel so bad- the best way I know how to explain it is that even "positive" compliments still make me focus on my body when I don't want to, and they are reminders that people do, in fact, notice when the size of my body changes. The first thing I always think is, "great, now they will also notice when I gain the weight back." Not to mention equating "you look...

            I walked into the tiny room, a container about the size of a large walk-in closet full of hard, gray seats, one hand clutching my purse and the other affixed on my friend's arm. She pats this hand as we take our seats and strap our seat belts around our hips. I fidget with my purse, trying to make sure it is as secure as possible between my legs, because I have no idea what the fuck is about to happen, except that I'm pretty sure I'm about to throw up and/or have a panic attack, and that my purse cannot possibly be safe simply on the floor ben...
